I made some new vintage button brooches last night and just realised I have subconsciously echoed the changing of the seasons and the leaves turning from green to orange to brown. The orange one makes me feel very October-ish; it’s practically a pumpkin. You can see all the new brooches here.
I had one of those weeks where the days shoot past and yet you don’t seem to have anything to show for yourself except a severe lessening of the bank account. It is a new season though, and the busiest one of the year, so it’s all about preparation. Lots of things have been ordered and, Royal Mail willing, you’ll get to see soon enough what my plans are.
Today I carried a massive box back from the delivery office which contained my new stall displays for my cards and notebooks. One of them is set up at the end of my bed and I am just taking little peeks at it now and again. It looks so professional and much better than my usual cut-up shoebox efforts. Luckily I only have to wait a few days before I get to show them off at the Glasgow Craft Mafia market at Glasgow University freshers. I’ll be sure to take some photos.
Finaly, here is a sneak peek of what I have been working on today. I know Christmas seems forever away but with delivery times and markets, I really can’t start too early. I promise to wait until at least October before I start shoving Christmas in your face though. I’ve been hoarding these photos away since last Winter (and that birthday weekend of blizzards in March) so it’s great to finally be putting them to use.
