Friday Catch-Up

marceline smith

A new feature! I realised I miss doing my monthly updates, but they took ages to put together, so instead I’m going to do a quick round-up on Fridays of a few of my favourite things. Maybe not all Fridays, if I had a boring week.

Afternoon Tea! Me and Claire had a between birthdays treat at Cupcakes For You, via a 5pm Big Deal. It was pretty good – all that cake, plus sandwiches, hot sausage rolls, and unlimited tea. The sausage rolls and the scones were my favourites.

A History of the World, in an attempt to fill some of the gaps in my severely lacking education. This is what happens when you leave school at 16 and only study Art and English. I’m only about a third in, but it’s all very interesting.

The Office (US version), which I love way more than the UK original. I think I’ve watched 6.5 seasons in about as many weeks, thanks to Lovefilm. I also really enjoyed The Railway: Keeping Britain on Track, a documentary series about the UK rail network, which is still all available on iPlayer.

– Awesome blog idea: 150 Great Things About the London Underground.
– I have to make this Coconut Bread at Smitten Kitchen.
Cereal Magazine looks right up my alley – food and travel.

Don’t forget to follow my Tumblr, for more interesting links and images.
