The good and bad news about postage

dawanda bags

As you may have noticed, Royal Mail updated their prices again a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been avoiding doing anything about it as it was all too confusing. Everyone seemed to be up in arms about it, but it looked to me like it wasn’t going to make any difference to my shop. Well, after posting a few orders, I see it does affect me a bit so I have had to change some prices. BUT! Not all them have gone up as I decided to simplify things. Here’s a nice chart I made.

shipping chart

What this really means:

Lots of my products are way under 100g including cards, letter sets, badge sets, sticky notes, bags, zines, brooches and gift wrap sets. You can usually get 2-3 of those under 100g.

Products that weigh over 100g include notepads, notebooks, gift wrap sheets and my paperback book.

It should be fairly difficult to order enough to get yourself into the over 1kg band – if you do, then it’s almost certainly a better deal to up your order to £25 and get FREE SHIPPING in the UK or a flat shipping rate of £3 anywhere else in the world. I’m also still covering the extra costs to ship to Australians myself as that’s just mean.

And that’s it. Pretty easy right?

Don’t forget, you can check shipping costs before you checkout. Just add the items to the Cart, note the weight and click the ‘estimate your shipping’ link to view the chart.

(The cross stitch paper bags are from the DaWanda shop. I just ordered more myself.)
