Prettify – a winner!

So, I finally got around to picking a winner for the Prettify competition. There were ten entrants which was a good number for me – any more and it would have been impossible to choose. It was hard enough already and I ended up with all the shops open in separate tabs and then closing them off until I had my winner. And the winner is……

The thing that struck me about Red Panda is that she’s doing everything right – she’s got a good customer base from her Etsy shop, amazing product photography and great branding. I can’t wear jewellery, nor is chainmaille really my style but I have noticed and remembered Red Panda from her logo. She’s now ready to move away from Etsy into her own shop but lacks the skills to design a shop that showcases her work, and so is stuck with a generic template. That makes her a perfect fit for the Prettify theme – exactly the sort of person I was thinking of when I was building it.

So, watch this space! I’ll be working with Red Panda over the next few weeks and will let you see the finished site when it’s ready.

Big thanks to everyone who entered – it really was hard to choose. Some people actually had great looking shops, as you can see below. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do another competition like this sometime soon. In the meantime, I will be adding some tutorials to the Prettify site in the new year, to help people customise their shops themselves.

Please do check out all the entrants’ shops below and give them some love. There’s some great stuff here.
