asking for trouble

Inspiration: Colleen Farr

Banbury by Colleen Farr

A new-ish irregular feature for the blog! Basically, artists and designers I have discovered that I want to share with everyone.

I bought these amazing vintage fabric remnants at Deskford Garden Galleries on holiday – the design is Banbury by Colleen Farr who designed for Liberty and Heal’s. I really love the colours and the block print/papercut style.

V&A

There’s a bit of info about her on True Up and some more designs at the V&A, who also make these lovely file folders with her designs. I probably should have bought all the remnants they had as there doesn’t seem to be much of her fabric available online. At least they’re remnants so I won’t feel bad cutting it up. I’m probably going to use them for the reverse side of my quilt.
