Here’s some more of what I got up to on my Easter holidays. We had an unbelievably pretty sunset one night in Portsoy.
We’d gone out to plant some seeds (and make a bee house!) in my mum’s community group garden, so we had the perfect viewing spot. I think we all took about 5 million photos.
Here’s one of my and my sister by my mum.
Earlier that day, we went for a look up Findochty, which was super pretty in the sunshine. We had such lovely weather for most of the week, despite it having been snowing on my train journey up.
Jan made Key Lime Pie for my birthday, which I have somehow never had before even though I love limes more than anything. It was awesome, obviously.
We also had Easter Bunny cake at Johnstons. It was really good and had KitKats all round the outside, but they wouldn’t give us a bunny, booooo.
My dad drove me and my window seat (and ten tons of old artwork) home and we ended up doing a scenic tour of Deeside. At one point we passed Cairn o’ Mount and stopped to admire the view. It’s a high pass at almost 1500ft and you can see all along the east coast from Aberdeen to Edinburgh. It was a pretty clear day so the view was amazing. You can see my panorama photo on Flickr.
We also stopped in Blairgowrie for a really nice lunch and managed to pick a very scenic car park by the river.
I bought some cool stuff and got some amazing handmade presents so look out for those soon.
