Halloween is coming up fast! If you’re behind on your decorating, don’t forget my kawaii Halloween crafts and printables, all of which are free!
Printable Decorations
My free Halloween Ghosts printable is perfect for garlands and hanging ornaments, plus place cards, gift tags and more. Just print as many as you need at any size, cut them out and hang them up.
DIY Paper Ghosts
If you don’t have a printer, or want to make a range of different ghosts, use my free paper craft tutorial to create your own ghost friends. You can use coloured card for a rainbow of ghosts or add different expressions. Use them for decorations, or stick to a card – you can even make mini ghosts on sticks!
Trapped Ghost
For a fun decoration, take some inspiration from my trapped ghost. All you need is polymer clay (e.g. Fimo or Sculpey) – or air dry clay would probably work too. Roll it into a ball and then mould into a teardrop shape with a flat bottom to stay upright. Bake according to the instructions and add a face with permanent marker, paint or stickers. You can let him loose or trap him in a jar with a creepy label – mine says ‘DO NOT OPEN. Trouble will befall!’
Pom Pom Ghost
Last year I made a pom pom version of my Little Ghost! I used this tutorial by Pom Maker but left out the face. I trimmed it into more of a teardrop shape and glued on a face cut from felt.
If you make something from these ideas, I would love to see – you can tag me @marcelinesmith on Instagram. Hope you have a fun Halloween!
