Jupiter Artland has been on my day trip wish list for a long time – and on my Travel Bingo sheet this year – and we finally made it there last month on a very sunny day.
It’s a contemporary sculpture park and art gallery not far from Edinburgh and you may recognise the Cells of Life above as they are very Instagrammable.
This area is definitely the highlight and really fun to walk around and find interesting viewpoints. Even on a busy day, it’s so big you can still get good photos and find somewhere to sit.
There’s plenty more to see too. This is a forest area with views over Edinburgh. There’s lots of different art pieces to discover, some by very big names. They add and retire pieces occasionally so you should get something new whenever you visit.
I really liked this garden area with topiary and flowers and snail water feature. Even if you hate conceptual art, there’s plenty of nature to enjoy here.
I love topiary, especially when it’s bunny-shaped!
The fancy building above hosts a rotating indoor exhibition. We were on our way to a long weekend trip so didn’t have a huge amount of time but managed to see most of the park. We’ll still have to return sometime and see the rest.
