Bunny Buttons

Updated coat

You thought I was kidding about being bunny obsessed, right? Nope! I got this jacket last Autumn and it was already missing a couple of buttons so I replaced them with cute plastic vintage buttons. Now one of those fell off (the pretty shiny thread I chose was really not strong enough for the job) so I decided to change them again. I bought a button making kit off eBay a few weeks ago with no particular aim in mind but after making a load of fabric badges this week to go to Falkirk, I realised I could make some awesome fabric buttons for my coat.

Here are the buttons:

And here is the coat in all its glory.

Now I just need to leave the house…

If you want to try this yourself, search for ‘easy cover buttons’ on eBay and get one that comes with the button making tool and instructions. It really is easy!
