While I haven’t been able to do much recently, reading Japan blogs has been easy enough. Here’s some more interesting links for you.
I thought I’d probably been to all the Japanese aquariums I really need to see, but these totally adorable sea creature breads have me wanting to add Kyoto Aquarium to my next itinerary. That salamander is too cute! Only ¥280 each and baked fresh every day.
I’ve never really been bothered about visiting Sanrio Puroland but their new attractions are pretty darn cute – check out Hello Kitty’s house! Also at RocketNews24, fun things to spot on Japanese baggage carousels.
Tokyo Craft Guide report back from Kawaii Nunohaku, a cute craft market with lots of amazing fabric. I want to go! It seems to be an annual event so check their website if you’re visiting next Summer.
The Intercity Flea Markets at Shinagawa look really interesting and good for a browse. Check out the rest of JapanTourist site too – there’s lots of good stuff in there.
Jenna has been out doing cool stuff including climbing Mt Fuji and visiting Hiroshima and Miyajima. I really want to do the latter two next trip. She’s also got some good tips for visiting Universal Studios in Osaka.
Alice finished off her extensive Japan trip reports recently and I especially enjoyed the posts about Naoshima and shopping in Tokyo.
And finally, JapanLover.me have a cute yukata paper doll to download and dress up!
