Japan Recap: Day 5 & 6

I’m posting quick recaps from my Japan holiday on Mondays and Fridays to collect all the links to my highlight lists and full daily photos. More in depth posts to come!

Day 5

I slept in really late after the previous day’s over-activity so had a quiet day. It was raining too so I went over to Ikebukuro to shop in Sunshine City (after picking up that super kawaii donut!). It was even bigger than I remembered and all my favourite shops were still there. The cat pillow I bought from the display below was a total lifesaver on my flights home.

DAY 6

I braved the highway bus so I could visit JAXA Tsukuba Space Center. This was so exciting for my space nerd self, especially after watching the Space Brothers anime. There wasn’t an English tour that day, but still lots to see. Back in Tokyo, I went to Ueno Park to watch the swan boats and did a bit of shopping on the way home.
