I had a fun few days Up North for Easter. It was pretty cold and windy so we didn’t get up to anything too exciting but here’s a few photos.
It was my mum’s birthday on Easter Sunday so we went to nearby Leith Hall to try and stay in the sunshine. We did the indoor tour which was pretty interesting and included some fun turtle spotting.
I’m always more interested in the gardens but we had to sneak Angel Bunny in past this sign! There was also an Easter Egg hunt with wooden bunnies dotted around the gardens so I think it was okay :)
The best part of the garden is this moon gate – more round doors please.
It was still a bit early for flowers but there were lots and lots of tulips.
And plenty daffodils too. We went out for lunch and then came back to do one of the walks, which took us around a big pond with a boathouse, bird hide and some very angry ducks.
We also met some donkeys on the way! We may have immediately abandoned the car by the side of the road to go and see them closer.
Over in Lossiemouth (my hometown), we had a big long walk around town, just managing to avoid the rain. This is at the harbour looking back at the East Beach.
Lossie is of course famous for having two beaches and it’s always cool seeing how different they are. It was extremely windy at the West Beach and we were the only people there.
I went out for breakfast at Aroma with my dad and we somehow came home with Easter cupcakes because how can you resist these? They were really good too. You can see all the rest of their Easter cakes on Facebook – they are quite something.
I bought these adorably packaged boxes of strawberry Pocky from Tofu Cute before I left but it fits nicely here. Thanks for all your orders while I was away – they’ll be in the post today.
