I’ve been very busy over the last couple of months and have now finished a brand new edition of my popular Tokyo Shopping Guide!
The first edition was released in 2008 after I became so frustrated on my second Japan trip trying to find all the cute and crafty shops I’d seen online. Things are a lot easier now with Pocket WiFi and Google Maps but there’s nothing like personal recommendations when visiting a city as huge and exciting as Tokyo. After four trips, I have a good store of fun places to visit and I’m happy to share them.
For this new edition, I started from scratch and expanded on some of the information in my Planning For Japan guide. This is truly a Tokyo-centric guide book with the first part split into area guides for my favourite parts of the city, each with recommendations for shopping, dining and sightseeing.
I’ve also picked out my Favourite Fives – my top choices for shopping, dining and sightseeing. These are my personal favourites that I hope you’ll find the time to visit. There’s also a resources section that is similar to Planning For Japan with travel tips, apps, websites and more.
The PDF version is available to download now from Payhip or Etsy for just £3 (+VAT in EU countries, sorry). I’m having some delays creating a new ebook edition for Amazon & iBooks but I expect that to be updated by the end of the month.
I contacted everyone who ordered my old Tokyo Shopping Guide recently, but if I missed you out, contact me with your order number or email address and I’ll sort you out with a free upgrade.
