Oban Holiday: Isle of Mull

mull - marcelinesmith

The last of my posts about our Oban trip. Our last main day was supposed to a boat tour but the weather wasn’t ideal so we ended up driving around Mull. Here’s what we got up to.

The weather for the ferry crossing was pretty atrocious but we braved the outside deck to get a photo of Eilean Musdile lighthouse. Thankfully it was (mostly) better on Mull.

Tobermory

I’ve always wanted to visit Tobermory and it was even prettier than I expected! It’s so colourful and picturesque and full of quirky shops. I’d definitely like to go back sometime and just hang out.

Calgary Bay

We stopped for lunch here at the cafe/gallery which also has a slightly odd but cool sculpture walk that leads down to the bay.

Lip Na Cloiche Garden

This is just someone’s back garden really but there’s lots to see. It’s almost vertical so bigger than it looks and there’s great views over to Ulva from the top. Definitely worth stopping by.

And that’s about it! You can see more of my holiday photos on Flickr.
