asking for trouble

Recent Purchases: September – October

I’m trying to do these more regularly so here’s what I’ve been buying recently.

enamel pins

As always, I have been adding more enamel pins to my board. There was no way I could resist Bunana and Honeybun from Pony People! I also got the blue flower pin free for pre-ordering Leigh Bardugo’s new book (v good).

Rilakkuma bumblebee

Also from last month’s wishlist, my Rilakkuma bumblebee plush arrived. It’s even cuter than I imagined – look at those pom pom antennae!

Pom Maker

I’ve been getting back into making pom poms but the plastic makers are so uncomfortable to use. I came across these adorable wooden donuts from Pom Maker and ordered one immediately. It’s so cute and also works a lot better. Making multicolour poms is much easier now so I’ve been having a lot of fun playing with it.

Hello Kitty tea

I may not have been able to visit the Hello Kitty Cafe in London (Nic went twice for SCK!) but some of the merchandise is available online. Yuzu green tea appealed to me a lot so I ordered some, plus I love the cute packaging. I’ve made the tea a couple of times and you can really taste the yuzu so I’m keeping note of alternative suppliers for when this is all used up.

MCM Scotland Comic Con

I had a pretty fun time at MCM Scotland Comic Con last month, despite my cold and the horrendous rail replacement bus service. Obviously, I did some shopping, picking up ramune and Pocky from Tofu Cute, badges and comic from Ellen Stubbings and a ceramic cat spoon I’ve long wanted from Doki Japanese Tableware. Pretty great haul.

ellen stubbings badges

I mean, look at these badges! I can never resist a ghost bunny.

Boden

And finally, some cute new clothes from Boden. I’m a little grumpy about packing away all my summer clothes before I even got to wear half of them, but it’s nice to see all my jumpers again.
