asking for trouble

Recent Purchases

I shared some of my Halloween buys a while back but here’s some more of my cute purchases before I had to stop and make a Christmas wish list instead.

The Super Cute Book of Kawaii necklace

Let’s start with one of my favourite things ever! Celebrating the 1 year anniversary of my book, The Super Cute Book of Kawaii, in July made me realise I’d never really done anything to commemorate such a big event in my life. I decided to commission a tiny edition of my book from From New Leaf on Etsy. They create detailed miniature book necklaces and it couldn’t be more perfect. If I ever get to do more events, it will be such a cute accessory.

With the Japanese mail mostly back to normal we ordered some new outfits from San-X for Rilakkuma & Kogumachan. This scarf and cardigan set is so cosy that I kind of want one myself. They also got matching puffy coats for Christmas and I can’t wait to see those on.

korilakkuma bunny pochette

I was sad to miss out on my favourite item from the Korilakkuma Rabbit Tea Time collection but managed to grab the very last pochette bag on AmiAmi instead. It worked out a lot more expensive than direct from San-X but it’s so soft and sweet. Now I just need somewhere to go and wear it.

Rilakkuma stationery

I also picked up these little sticky memos at the same time. I especially love the cute little pouch they’re packaged in, that will be useful for storing stickers or business cards.

korilakkuma bunny plush

But then Natasja put me on to Cuteness.nl – a Dutch site who have an astonishing range of long-sold-out San-X plush. I’m so happy to have the little bunny plush and it’s even cuter than I imagined. Great service too – it arrived in just 3 days!

kawaii planner stickers

I felt a great need to order stickers in the last couple of months and there were some great sales that made it totally justifiable. These are from Whimsicute and you can see lots more pics and my buys from Happy DAYA and Rainbowholic over at SCK.

society6 comforter

I only really made business purchases around Black Friday but did splurge on another comforter from Society6 for myself, My Solar System comforter above that I reviewed in 2017 is still going strong and gets dragged around from room to room in the winter so it’s definitely worth the investment. I’ll be sure to share photos when it arrives – can you guess which design of mine I bought this time?
