Recent Purchases

Let’s have a look at some of the cute things I’ve bought – and been gifted – recently.

washi tape storage box

My washi tape collection was getting too big for the wooden box I was using, so I bought a proper storage box. These are all my extra cute and special tapes that are mostly too nice to use. It’s great to be able to see them all now and since there’s no space left I’ll have to think about using some if I want to buy more! There’s a weird lack of nice washi tape storage boxes in the UK – this one actually shipped from China and took forever so shop around.

Rilakkuma playing cards

I am still generally obsessed with Rilakkuma & Kaoru and had to pick up these playing cards for all the cute artwork. I realised I have a little collection now so I wrote a post about playing cards on SCK. I bought these from Plaza Japan – they’re out of stock now but I had such a nice shopping experience there – with quick affordable shipping – so do have a look for games, puzzles, character goods etc.

TOMS shoes bunnies

I spotted these bunny shoes at TOMS when writing an SCK post and how could I not buy them? They match my Cath Kidston bunny dress too. They feel a bit weird to walk on after years of New Balance trainers and Birkenstocks but fun for special events, when those happen again.

Loungefly My Melody bag

I also have a new My Melody Loungefly bag to complete my bunny outfit! Very Neko sent me a whole load of Sanrio bags & wallets to review on SCK and there’s a 10% discount code there too.

Boden face masks

I actually have some plans for going places and meeting people soon and thought I better stock up on some more face masks from Boden. These have been my all round favourites and have lasted pretty well. After a year, 2 of the original 3 have the nose wire poking out but otherwise I still use them all the time. I was a bit surprised to get the blue pattern again – these are made from unused fabric so it must have been very unpopular on clothing!

Pusheen craft kits

Super Cute Kawaii has been taking up a lot of my time lately – I’ve got quite a few craft projects on the go but they’re all for SCK. I picked up these Pusheen craft kits for half price and the pizza garden is already starting to grow. I thought the sewing kit would be felt but it actually has a real plush skin to decorate and stuff.

Pusheen Box

And I’m still getting the Pusheen Box to review. The rainy day spring box was so pretty and had lots of useful things. The hat especially is getting a lot of use.

All being well, it’s likely my next round-up will include some things I bought in person! The thought of going to a shop that isn’t a supermarket, bakery or chemist is now weirdly exciting.
