asking for trouble

Recent(ish) Purchases & Gifts

I haven’t done one of these posts since last summer so some of these are not very recent but I do love looking back at these posts and being reminded of things.

Well, this can be summed up in 2 tweets.

I would never have thought to use Vinted for finding extras of your favourite clothing items and I can’t believe someone was selling my favourite cardigan from Sainsbury’s! I was still wearing mine despite it being full of holes because I couldn’t find a suitable replacement. It’s more of a spring/autumn cardigan so I’ve hardly worn it yet but I’m still very excited. (I don’t use Zombie Twitter any more btw so don’t bother following me)

A shout out to Pusheen Box who have been responsible for pretty much all other additions to my wardrobe. It’s now a running joke in my family how many Pusheen clothes I have. The fluffy spooky hoodie has been a lifesaver this year – it’s so warm! I was also utterly thrilled with the adorable Christmas jumper and can’t wait to wear it again later in the year. I review all the boxes on Super Cute Kawaii if you want to know more – or subscribe for the next one, which looks to have a very similar hoodie to the Winter 2022 box, which I also wear all the time.

champs coo

I enjoyed myself a lot at the Glasgow Cycling World Championships and was gutted that the Champs Coo sold out before I could get my hands on one. Luckily they made some more and it eventually turned up at the end of November. Makes a nice friend for my rainbow Alpacasso.

i can see with glasses sticker

This illustration by Derek Achoy made me laugh on Tumblr and I had to buy two stickers for me and Nicolette. As someone who would have enormous difficulty making it even as far as the opticians (a whole 5 minute walk away) without my glasses, this speaks to me. It’s also very shiny. Still agonising over what to stick it on.

I got lots of nice things for Christmas but sadly didn’t take a photo of everything together. Here’s some small things I really love – a tiny Rilakkuma astronaut, a sad Pikachu cable bite, a little deer bowl and Animal Crossing ice cream spoon (all from Nicolette) and a little Fubsies mushroom (from Jan). They are all being used/enjoyed a lot.

Hopefully it won’t be as long until the next one! I did actually buy some new shoes after 3 years and it’s my birthday soon.
