2024 Achievements

2024 started off in quite a positive way but took a major turn for the worse in July and left me ending the year with very little to show for it. I don’t feel like doing my usual year recap – and I didn’t blog enough or create many new products anyway – but let’s see what random stuff I did achieve.

Duolingo 2024

My biggest achievement by far was completing the entire German course on Duolingo! I started in 2019 so that was a long haul. I do feel like I now understand enough to get by and even though I didn’t need it in Berlin, it gave me some confidence for any situations that might arise. These stats are from the end of November (why?!) so I’m now up to a streak of 2111 days because….I started learning Dutch! More of that in my 2025 Plans & Goals.

Etsy’s Year in Review is still pretty rubbish for sharing and there are so many fun things they could include! The first screen is quite nice though – 51 5 star reviews! I also guessed my top 3 products correctly (it looks weird because I’ve removed the sales numbers). I also managed to keep my Star Seller every month and finished the year with 5.0 average review score, 100% message response and on-time dispatch and zero cases (customer complaints). Some more sales would have been nice but I’ll take what I can get.

My Nintendo year in review is missing some vital info as I spent most of it on a second profile replaying Tears of the Kingdom and it only tracks your main profile. I completed that in October after almost exactly a year. My aim was to complete the compendium (a photo gallery of every item in the game that also includes 2 versions of every weapon!) and I shared a lot of posts on my Zelda blog – here’s the wrap up post. I do very much love Picross and Stitch though, especially now my joycons have been fixed.
