I was back Up North for Christmas with my family again so here’s a look at some of the things I got up to.
I had the Pusheen advent calendar to open every day and make December a bit more fun. I thought it was nice mix of festive little things, especially the ornaments, puffy stickers, badges and magnetic bookmarks. The Winter Pusheen Box also arrived before I left so I baked some Christmas cookies for the review photos.
I put my Christmas decorations up very early and they were pretty similar to the last 2 years. I do love my new additions though – the Rolife Christmas tree I built, a load of ceramic trees from Søstrene Grene and a silly garland of happy gingerbread men from Flying Tiger.
We didn’t manage any big outings but lots of nice walks and Angel Bunny had a great time. We were treated to some beautiful skies in Lossiemouth.
We were very touched to see that planks from the old bridge that was removed above, had been turned into a lovely memorial bench for itself! That bridge was such an icon for over a century so well-deserved. You can see more photos on my Flickr.
We also had a wander in the woods to look for squirrels. I only got this close because it hadn’t noticed me crouched down taking silly photos of Angel Bunny!
I had nothing to do with this amazing plate of food but did make the crackers as usual and they might be the cutest ones yet. I put conversation topics inside instead of jokes and this year they were double options – the best thing you bought (or want to buy), something new you tried (or want to learn), somewhere you want to visit (or go back to) and something you enjoyed cooking (or want to make next).
I didn’t get many presents as we did handmade gifts this year, which was a lot of fun. I’ll share them in another post. The Miffy wall hanging is from my mum and I need to figure out a way to hang it. Pretty sure I have a magnetic hanger thing somewhere that might work.
The toaster (from Katy) is a light! So cute. She also got me the Pulp tea bags which have lyrics on the tab.
I also played a lot of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp now that it’s been revamped. Turns out I only played it for a few days the first time around so I have a lot of catching up to do but my campsite is looking pretty cute at last. I’ll share my card soon.
