2025 Achievements

2025 was another very difficult year so it’s always good to celebrate any small wins. Here’s some of my favourite stats and milestones from various apps I use.

Duolingo 2025

I started learning Dutch on Duolingo late in 2024 and it’s going pretty well. Not sure how they calculate that percentage as the change to energy means I can only do 2 lessons a day max on the free plan so a lot of paid users must be doing even less – or maybe I’m just great. These stats are from 1st December, so I actually finished the year with a 2470 day streak.

2025 Strava

Getting a new bike for my birthday was the biggest life change this year, though I didn’t ride much until I got a home trainer in October and no longer had to worry about weather, traffic, daylight etc. I only started tracking my rides in Strava this year so this is more for comparing next year, but that’s not going to stop me saying I exercised 7000% more than last year.

Zwift has been a real gamechanger and surprisingly addictive. I’m very proud of these stats! Even though I’m still super-slow and pathetic, I’m making progress and really enjoying it. By the end of December, I was up to 500km. My personal highlight was getting lapped by Mathieu van der Poel on the Thanksgiving group ride. Not only was he chilling while I broke all my power records but it was a 20km route 💀

My Nintendo year in review wasn’t too interesting as I mostly played Picross and my new favourite puzzle game, Stitch. I completed the whole game pretty quickly but luckily you can start again in a new harder mode so I still pick it up sometimes. I’ve also started playing Animal Crossing again, ahead of the new update this week! It’s fun to be back.

This only tracks my main profile so you can easily see where I spent many many hours on a third profile replaying Tears of the Kingdom. It was mostly just a fun replay with no specific goals (and I still need to fight the Demon King) but I may still get around to posting some bits on my Zelda blog.

Sadly I didn’t get my Etsy year in review, despite spending a tedious half hour with support who eventually suggested I should be patient and wait. Sure sure, everyone else got it in December but I’m special.

Super Cute Kawaii

I wrote 137 blog posts during 2025 and these are some of my favourites that aren’t reviews:

I also did a look back at 2025 On Super Cute Kawaii that covers more of what we achieved, including the rest of the team.
