February 2026 Recap

A look back at my month with photos, blog posts, plans & goals progress, links and more.

What I’ve been up to

February was a stay at home month, though I did manage to visit Nicolette in Milngavie for brunch, cake, shopping and Animal Crossing. I’m so happy to see Easter bunnies in the shops again.

But mostly I’ve been at home doing all the usual things – working, crafting, cycling and playing Animal Crossing.

Purchases & Gifts

Suica penguin folders

Best gift of the month was undoubtably these adorable Suica penguin file folders that Emma got me in Japan, plus the perfect Angel Bunny-sized Miffy suitcase! I’ll be sharing some photos of him with it soon. We were also back on the TokyoTreat & Sakuraco reviews, and the cherry blossom boxes are always fun to photograph.

I’ve also been spending a lot of money on my upcoming Belgium trip, which requires 2 hotels and a number of trains to figure out. I got a new travel backpack so I don’t have to bring my suitcase and it has lots of fun features but definitely needs some cute accessories.

Things I Wrote

Plans & Goals Progress

Books: There’s a new page for Books, Comics & Zines I Read in 2026. I read 3 more so I’m still 4 books ahead of schedule.

Crafts: Robotime sent me some more miniature kits to review and I really enjoyed building these Story Frames that you can hang on the wall or display on a shelf. Full post on Super Cute Kawaii. I have a Book Nook to make next.

I also finished my needlepoint pouch! I’ll have a post up on SCK tomorrow and will do a little catchup post here soon too. I also had an idea for how to make my Kindle cover cuter and have started that so hopefully it works. A few people have asked about needle minders over the years so I ordered some magnets to test. As you can see, it is working but I’m not sure I want to make these regularly so look out for a very limited release soon.

Cycling: I completed the Tour de Zwift! I really had to push myself as they were the longest routes I’d ever done, and mostly with horrible long climbs at the end, but it actually got easier and I can do 1 hour rides no bother now and 75-90mins are okay. All that climbing got me to half way up Everest too. You get a cool virtual bike for completing this, what is my life.

Kawaii Sun & Rain pattern

The rest: I uploaded a new print on demand design (Sun & Rain). I made a start on reorganising my studio – mostly moving things from piles to more organised piles, but I did recycle/throw out a lot of stuff too. I’m still learning Dutch on Duolingo.

Generally Good Stuff

I’m still playing Animal Crossing New Horizons every day, though mostly just hanging out and remembering how everything works. It was fun to have Nic over for coffee and I got to party with DJ KK again too. I designed homes for my new villagers (Mineru from TOTK and Leopold the lion), finished all the hotel tasks and did a couple of holiday homes. I also got LEGO Star Wars in the sale but haven’t had much time for that yet.

TV-wise, I have been glued to the Winter Olympics all day every day, despite not really being that invested in any of the sports (curling is my favourite). I then had to get on and finish rewatching Alias before my Disney+ ran out (still THE BEST), and had time left to bash through a rewatch of Andor S2 (even as a Star Wars apologist, I cannot get over how good this is). The Pottery Throw Down has had some great challenges and I’ve been saving them to watch while Zwifting.
