Christmas Recap

After 2 not-so-fun pandemic Christmases, I got to spend the holidays up north with my family again so here’s a look at what we got up to, and my cute gifts.

Christmas walks
Clockwise from top left – Bow Fiddle Rock, Portsoy harbour, Lossiemouth East Beach, Portnockie

We didn’t manage any big outings or walks but we did wander around some picturesque spots. We were mostly lucky with the weather – just very cold and even some snow! Angel Bunny was out a lot too.

Christmas dinner table

It was mostly just nice to do things as a family again – look at our cute dinner table! The only thing I am responsible for here is the crackers. It was fun to do handmade personalised ones again – I got a kit from The Cracker Company, decorated them with initials cut from glitter sticker paper and filled them with a little gift, a chocolate treat and conversation topics. This year it was favourite thing you made, favourite TV/books of the year, favourite things you ate or cooked and best trip or outing.

slippers

Most of us asked for slippers this year and we all got them! No prizes for guessing which are mine. These are a different brand of Pusheen slippers (from Next) than I usually get and they have a rubber sole so will hopefully last longer.

Christmas presents

And here’s the rest of my presents. I mostly asked for books (and already read the Dracula manga – so good!) but I’m excited to work on those craft kits.

Pikachu waffles

I bought the Pikachu waffle maker for myself (at Lidl! Here’s a similar one) and it’s my favourite thing at the moment. It works surprisingly well and makes very cute waffles. I’m now a bit of an expert and very much enjoying my new waffle-filled life.

I shared my Christmas decorations in another post and will be making a tutorial for my personal Christmas card for SCK very soon as it was actually a new year (of the rabbit) card.
