I’ve had a pretty productive start to the year, with craft projects at least, so here’s a look at a few I’ve finished, plus what I’m currently working on.
Craft Club Patchwork Party needlepoint pouch

I finished my family craft kit swap from Christmas and now have a cute pouch! I wrote about it over at Super Cute Kawaii so you can read all the details there, plus lots of photos. I haven’t done any tapestry/needlepoint/half stitch for ages and it was really nice to get back to it. Generally positive experience all round and I would make another one, or try a different Craft Club kit.

It’s not a competition, but my dad was first to finish his Gravity Swing, despite starting second last, and Nicolette’s bag is coming along well. If only Jan could discover where she stashed her mosaic kit and join in!
Robotime Story Frames

I’m lucky to be sent various things to review and have been working with Robotime to try out their cutest miniature and puzzle kits. These Story Frames are adorable and were generally fun to build, with only a few tricky bits. The lighting is really sweet and being able to hang them on the wall, or display them on a shelf is so nice. You can read the full review on Super Cute Kawaii.
Cross Stitch Card

A little mention for the cross stitch card I made for Mother’s Day. I forgot to take any photos so thanks to my mum for this one! I use a free pattern from The Make Arcade and my own card tutorial.
Current Projects

I immediately moved on to new projects and currently have two on the go. I have another Robotime kit to make, the Fairytale Amusement Park Book Nook. This is a more complicated kit and has taken a while to build, but it’s almost ready to share.

I was also inspired by the pouch to start something new. I’m not sure if it’s going to work as planned but it’s nice just to be stitching. This is a long stitch bargello pattern, similar to the cushion I made ages ago (it still sits on that armchair!). I’m using up tapestry wool I have left over from other projects, and that was gifted to me by a family friend. I’ll write more about it if it the finished idea works out.

I also discovered this accidental photo later, which made me laugh. It’s very much my crafting mode at the moment – on the sofa under my kawaii comforter watching bike races. Look at how much empty tapestry canvas is still on this frame! I will have to come up with more ideas – and also frame my Zelda tapestry.
I’m keeping my Unfinished Craft Projects Master List updated.
