Recent Craft Projects & 2021 Plans

One thing 2020 was very good for was crafting and I completed so many projects, including some that had been unfinished for years. Here’s a look at what I made and what I’m working on next.

If you look back at my Making Time For Crafts post from January 2020, I managed to complete a lot of them. Here’s some of the things I made.

That’s quite a list! Even I had forgotten about some of these.

2021 Craft Plans

So what’s on my list for this year? Well, dressmaking, stamp carving and my kawaii quilt will carry over from last year for starters.

Cross Stitch

I did a lot of cross stitch last year, thanks to collaborating with Claire Brown XStitch and there’s still a couple of things on my list. First is making something with this aida Claire had printed with my zig zag polka dots pattern. The other is updating our breakfast patterns so I may well combine the 2 and stitch a Donut.

Embroidery Kit

One of my Christmas presents was this embroidery kit by Nelly Makes. The Creative Kawaii box made me remember how much I like embroidery so it will be fun to try a different style.

Embroidery Patterns

I also have plans for my own patterns but first I have to try stitching some and see how they look.

Gallery Wall

Once I finish some or all of the above, I need to gather all my hoop art and make a nice gallery wall in my studio.

Dollhouse Kit

I had an Etsy gift voucher to spend so decided to try one of the craft trends we’ve never covered on SCK, the dollhouse kit! I’m going to keep this one a surprise for now but I’ll be sharing some updates on Instagram stories, as I expect it will take me a while to complete!

Silhouette Cameo

I got my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine not long before the holiday rush so I haven’t had a lot of time to play with it. I definitely want to experiment with the vinyl and different types of stickers, even if it’s only for gifts.

That’s probably enough for now, though I’d also like to try a kit or tutorial each month for SCK too. Doing these SCK Tries… posts has been a lot of fun!
