Another round-up of interesting Japan things!
For some unfathomable reason, I’ve never been to Mister Donut. I guess we were never near one at the right kind of time. I’m definitely going to rectify that next time I visit, especially if they have anything half as cute as their current tie-in with Hello Kitty! Hello Kitty Junkie has all the details.
I love the sound of this new book about an American family eating their way around Tokyo. I’m not a big fan of Kickstarter though, so I’m happy to see it’s already reached it’s funding goal. There’s still a few hours left to pledge if you want in. I’ll definitely be picking up a copy when it’s published.
Ros at Polkaros blogged about Only Free Paper, a shop in Shibuya filled with free promotional postcards, leaflets, zines and more. Sounds like a great place for zinesters and crafters.
Die Kirschblütenfee in Japan is a blog by Leonie, currently staying with a host family in Yokohama. She’s posting about lots of interesting places including the Ramen Museum, a Maid cafe and lots of shopping, plus more daily life stuff like food and drinks. It’s written in German, but you can use the Google Translate feature (or use Chrome as your browser – it’s built in!).
And finally, I wish I’d heard about this theatre production of Princess Mononoke in London next month. It’s also heading to Japan, so maybe they’ll tour it in the UK too.
