asking for trouble

Recent Purchases

I haven’t been spending too much on myself lately since I bought an iPad, but I have picked up a few things.

pusheen scarf

My other biggest recent purchase was the Pusheen Box. I’ve been enviously watching all the unboxing videos over the last year and decided to invest in the winter box, since I could share my experience on Super Cute Kawaii too. It turned out to be totally adorable – I especially love this scarf, but there were also gloves, string lights, gift wrap, a stamp set and more. You can read my review over at SCK along with the eye watering costs involved thanks to shipping and customs. Sadly I think it will be a one off purchase for me.

Lizzy House glow in the dark enamel pin

My pin collection has been neglected a bit too as the current exchange rate makes all the US pins so expensive. I did add another ghost to my gang with this glow in the dark cutie by Lizzy House.

NANA playing cards

While there’s no firm news about whether Ai Yazawa will ever be well enough to finish her long-abandoned manga NANA, there have been a few new bits including this lovely set of playing cards. I had to buy an enormous issue of Japanese magazine Cookie to get these but it was worth as the artwork is so pretty. Making Hachi the Joker is just mean though.

Pikachu Snow Bunny from JapanStuffs

I posted this photo at the weekend but I wanted to give a shout out to JapanStuffs as I had such a good order experience. Their prices are good, you get products directly from the Pokemon Center (complete with cute carrier bag!), shipping is fast and affordable and they even include some freebies. I’m so glad I spotted this Pikachu snow bunny as it’s the most adorable thing.

Knitted stegosaur

Also joining my slightly ludicrous plush display is this little knitted stegosaur. The toy shop near me had a big display of them in the window and after passing it a few times, I had to go in and get one. The whole range is amazing – look at them all!

Boden dress

And it’s always nice to get another Boden voucher in the post, especially when you’ve just been browsing through the catalogue. I have quite a wishlist built up for my birthday money, after realising a lot of my wardrobe contents are way past their best, but just picked up another Miranda dress in the sale for now as the one I already have is so comfy. I love this pattern.
