I couldn’t do this post last month because I hardly bought anything, despite it being my birthday month! Even April was pretty quiet but I have a few things to share.
The major shocker is that I I haven’t bought any enamel pins since February. Instead, I have been adding to my plush collection. Figuring out how to use a forwarding service has made it far too easy to spend my money at the San-X store! I’ve even infected Nic and we picked up some Sumikko Gurashi ice cream plushies. Mine is Penguin? in his ice cream van uniform.
I also couldn’t resist this towel. It’s difficult to have a cute bathroom but towels always help. I will be using this, though I fear it will get grubby too quickly, thanks to my ancient washing machine. All this stuff is sold out now, I’m afraid.
My birthday gift to myself was the Corocorocoronya plush I had been coveting. I even set an alarm to remember to order on release day. It’s even more incredible than I imagined and has so many fun poses. Bag on head is still my favourite.
I loved all the options in the Pusheen Magical Kitties blind box plush, so of course I got two the same! That’s never happened before. Luckily, I was able to trade one of my Stormy unicorns for a Pusheen mermaid.
I’ve also been really good about buying books, but they know how to get me. I will read anything Bill Drummond writes, especially in the form of a very limited edition hardback book. I’ve also subscribed to my first comic book series. I usually wait for the paperbacks or get the digital version on my iPad so it will be fun to get a new one every month. I’ve been a big fan of The Prisoner for decades and it really is the perfect series for a comic. It’s a modern revival with new characters but The Village is still delightfully 60s in style and the artwork is great.
